A Russian colonel has been killed following a car bomb attack in the city of Berdiansk.
According to a Ukrainian newspaper headline, the vehicle exploded near the city’s administrative headquarters, which is being used as a Russian operational base.
The explosion was powerful enough to be heard across the city.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but it’s widely believed to be the handiwork of Ukraine’s special services, whose activities are making it very perilous indeed to be a Russian official in Ukraine these days.
