Ukrainian intelligence officer urges Russian soldiers to surrender as he warns of ‘worse to come’ following raids on Russian territory

A Ukrainian intelligence officer is publicly urging Russian soldiers to surrender as he warns of ‘worse to come’ following multiple raids on Russian territory.

We reported earlier on mechanized units pouring into the Belgorod region in southern Russia. Ukraine denies having anything to do with it, instead, the raid is reportedly being conducted by rebel Russian militia.

Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate (HUR), addressed Russian soldiers in their own language, urging them to lay down their weapons before it’s too late. Ukraine has set up a call-in service named ‘I want to live’, which Russian soldiers can contact at any time and receive instructions on how to surrender peacefully. This will spare them from annihilation at the hands of Ukrainian warriors.
