Ukrainians get free business course to help them start businesses in Ireland – meanwhile 13,000 Irish homeless Irish people nothing

30 Ukrainians who want to start their own business here in Ireland are attending a business camp in Dublin, reports RTE.

During the two-day event, aspiring entrepreneurs will receive intensive advice and mentoring from a team of experts on topics such as taxes, financing and marketing.

It also includes a pitching competition, after which participants will be able to access online support as they start their ventures.

The organizers of the boot camp are the law firm DLA Piper, the publishing, research and events company Business Post Group, the start-up incubator Dogpatch Labs and United for Changes, a support group for Ukrainians who want to work in Ireland.

It was founded by Anna Chris and Pavel Bogaczenko, a Ukrainian couple who came to Ireland from Odesa when the Russian invasion began, reports RTE.

Anna, who previously worked in Ireland, has set up two nail businesses in Greystones Co Wicklow and near St Stephen’s Green in Dublin, while Pavlo currently works as a solicitor at DLA Piper.

“Pavol and I believe in the power of communities, in the power of good deeds,” she said, reports RTE.

“It is about how people can empower each other, and of course we are very happy to support Ukrainians now. We are very happy to be in that position where we can share our knowledge, where we can bring together different companies that can help people to integrate into Irish societies by opening their own businesses,” she added, reports RTE.
