The Ulster Bank has confirmed that some mortgage customers are experiencing problems with direct debit payments.
The bank say some customers have been reporting that their monthly direct debit payments have not gone through almost a week after the were scheduled.
A spokesperson for the bank says that the problem relates to Ulster Bank mortgage customers who have current accounts with other providers.
“Some Ulster Bank mortgage customers, with non-Ulster Bank current accounts, may be experiencing a delay in their mortgage direct debit being collected.”
“The underlying issue has been identified and we are working to resolve it,” they added.
