The former CEO of the FAI John Delaney, is still reportedly on the payroll at the organisation despite offering to vacate his role this week.
According to RTE News, the sensational revelation comes after the Chief Executive of Sport Ireland told an Oireachtas Committee on sport that he believes that Mr Delaney is still collecting a salary at the Football Association.
The news comes after Mr Delaney voluntarily left his role on Monday pending an investigation at the association.
RTE News say Mr Tracey told the committee that Mr Delaney currently remains on the payroll despite the ongoing Mazzars investigation.
However Mr Tracey did reveal that Mr Delaney’s offer to vacate his role has been accepted.
Delaney currently earns €120,000 in his new role of Executive Vice President, and has yet to be determined whether or not his current salary will be suspended despite his offer to step away from his role.
