Union Jack replaces EU flag on UK vehicle number plates

So one month into Brexit and the UK have taken a further step towards self determination outside the European Union.

According to the Metro, all new vehicle number plate designs and driving licenses will now display the Union Jack instead of the Euro Flag.

The Department for Transport said: ‘UK driving licences and number plates have been given a makeover to signify the beginning of a new chapter for the UK.

UK motorists are still able to use their current driving licenses in Europe, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein without a permit. British drivers won’t need to display the old style GB sticker on their cars once they have the new Union Jack flag or GB on their plates.
