United Airlines flight forced to make emergency landing at Shannon Airport

A United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport earlier today.

Flight UA-76, en route from Belfast to Newark, declared an emergency in mid-flight due to an issue with the landing gear, prompting the crew to divert to Shannon Airport.

The aircraft landed safely at 2.27pm local time.
