Unprecedent move by UK parliament to hold Joe Biden in contempt after disastrous Afghan withdrawal and refusal to take responsibility

In an unprecedented move, the UK Parliament has voted to hold US President Joe Biden in contempt after his catastrophic pull out of US forces from Afghanistan which led to the country immediately falling to the Taliban.

Scenes reminiscent of the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam war were broadcast around the world last week as Kabul fell to the Taliban but despite the ongoing disaster and tends of thousands of stranded Westerners Joe Biden has refused to admit any mistake.

After the fall of Afghanistan and ensuing chaos Biden went missing in action and took a full 36 hours to respond to UK PM Boris Johnson who was eager to coordinate a plan to evacuate Western citizens and Afghan allies who now face imminent reprisal.

The UK government, along with the governments of other countries with military or significant diplomatic involvement in Afghanistan have claimed that they were left in the dark by the Biden administration about the Afghan withdrawal.
