The Department of Health has been declared safe and has been cleared to reopen following a security threat earlier today.
According to RTÉ News, the Defence Forces declared the building safe shortly after 2:30pm this afternoon.
It is understood the building was evacuated after a package containing a non-hazardous white powder substance was sent the Minister for Health Simon Harris.
Defence Forces have said that the investigation has been handed over to the Gardai and an investigation is underway.
It is believed that Garda forensics will examine the envelope the powder was sent in, in order to determine where it came from.
