Earlier tonight we reported that French media had reports of people fleeing gunfire in the French Mediterranean resort of Juan-les-Pins.
Holiday makers in the resort were claiming gunfire was heard in the resort and that people were running from the area.
However French police have confirmed that they have a group of thugs in custody for questioning after they were caught throwing fireworks into a crowd from a speeding car.
The resort is just 45 minutes from Nice, which 5 weeks ago saw a lorry smash into a crowd, saw pandemonium as people ran thinking it was another terrorist attack.
