There’s been uproar in Drogheda after it emerged that this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade is to be cancelled.
The Drogheda Leader newspaper reports the the parade has been cancelled due to escalating costs that have spiralled out of control, mostly to do with insurance.
Locals say that it’s a disgrace that the parade has been cancelled and that it should go ahead at all costs.
