US and Canadian authorities have said that at least 54 people have died because of storm-related incidents over the past few days, amidst one of the worst winter storms in decades.
The US has so far recorded 50 deaths, while Canada has reported 4.
Some of the victims were found frozen in their cars, while others suffered medical events and could not be reached on time.
