US federal agents could be left permanently blinded as violent rioting continues in city of Portland




As riots continue in the US city of Portland it has been revealed that three federal officers deployed deal with unrest may have been rendered permanently blind after they were attacked by agitators.

The West Coast city had endured more than 50 nights of riots, looting and arson as well as attacks on police and other symbols of authority such as the Federal Court House before President Trump deployed federal agents to Oregon to help restore order.

Federal Protective Service (FPS) officers were attempting to defend the city’s Federal Court House when over 1000 rioters attacked them with fireworks and aimed lasers at their eyes Fox News reports.

Deputy Director of Operations for the Federal Protective Service (FPS) Richard “Kriss” Cline described in a press conference on Tuesday how a crowd of over 1000 rioters had attacked the Hatfield Federal Courthouse, including throwing burning plywood through the windows of the building as officers struggled to protect it.
