The US Government has advised its citizens to leave Belarus immediately.
Belarus’s dictator Aleksandr Lukashenko is the only ally of ailing Russian President Vladimir Putin in Europe. Many countries have announced the imminent closure of border crossings with Belarus, meaning foreigners will have limited options to evacuate from the hostile regime’s territory.
Four border crossings in Lithuania remain open, though it’s unclear for how long.
