US President Joe Biden lived up to the merits and responsibilities of his position when he met with relatives of slain black man George Floyd today.
After talking to the grieving family, Mr. Biden said that ‘the Floyd family has shown extraordinary courage, especially his young daughter Gianna, who I met again today.’
Joe Biden’s honorable and empathetic meeting with the Floyd family contrasts starkly with the utter disdain shown by his predecessor in the White House, the now disgraced former President Donald Trump, who never met with any of the Floyd family members. The then Democratic candidate Joe Biden accurately described Mr. Trump as ‘despicable’, when the latter said that it was a ‘great day’ for George Floyd to be ‘looking down’ as Mr. Trump announced better-than-expected job results, shortly after the murder that kickstarted a great social movement that lasts to this day.
