The US state of Georgia has officially introduced new legislation that will ban all abortions once a fetal hearbeat has been detected.
According to CBS News, the new Bill which has been enacted to protect life was signed into Governor Brian Kemp.
It is understood under the new laws all abortions will be banned when a fetal hearbeat is detected which is usually after five to six weeks.
However exceptions will be made of the pregnancy risks the life or poses substantial and irreversible physical harm to the pregnant woman.
Governor Kemp speaking at a rally said the Bill is a declaration that all life has value, that all life matters, and that all life is worthy of protection.
