US Supreme Court unanimously backs Catholic Foster Care agency which refuses to work with LGBTQ etc couples

The United States Supreme Court has unanimously ruled in favour of a Roman Catholic foster care agency that was targeted by Philadelphia authorities for refusing to consider same-sex couples as adoptive parents.

The 9-0 limited ruling found that “Philadelphia violated the First Amendment when it froze the contract of a Catholic Foster Care Agency that refused to work with same-sex couples as potential foster parents because the agency believes that marriage should be between a man and a woman,” CNN reported.

The Catholic Social Services agency was targeted after local media reported in 2018 that they refused to work with same sex couples to foster children in their care.

Religious freedom, particularly the religious freedom of Christians has been increasingly under attack in the US in recent years as the progressive grow ever more aggressive in the promotion of their anti-morality and anti-family agenda.

However, in this case Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the court, acknowledged that CSS “seeks only an accommodation that will allow it to continue serving the children of Philadelphia in a manner consistent with its religious beliefs; it does not seek to impose those beliefs on anyone else.”
