“Utterly ridiculous” – Major anger in Wales as supermarkets cordon off ‘non-essential’ items

In what has been described as utterly ridiculous and ludicrous, supermarkets in Wales are only selling the bare essentials in their shops, quite literally.

There’s widespread anger in Wales today, as many supermarkets have cordoned off what they deem to be ‘non-essential’ items, while things like alcohol can still be purchased.

Items like kettles, bedclothes, and baby clothes are off-limits, but vodka can be bought with no problems, for example.

Wales recently declared a ‘firebreak’ lockdown in a last-ditch attempt to curb the relentless spread of Covid-19.
