The Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has said that he expects the Covid-19 vaccine portal to be open for 16 and 17 year olds in August.
Speaking about the prospect of the portal being open for that age group, Harris said he hopes that it could be open for early August.
Harris said that the idea of the portal being open for 16 and 17 year olds by then would be great as some of them may be college or higher education students by September.
He added that third level students will experience college life this coming September.
