Van Morrison pens protest songs against lockdown and “lack of independent thought” surrounding Covid-19 narrative

Singer-Songwriter Van Morrison has released a new album which features several tracks critical of what the artist sees as the lack of independent thought surrounding the establishment’s official narrative on the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the Orwellian lockdowns imposed around the world.

The 75-year-old Rock and Roll hall of fame inductee had already hit out on social media at what he described as the “pseudo-science” of the Covid-19 restrictions but has now recorded a number of protest songs against the Draconian measures.

The Belfast man has described his new album, set for release in May, as the product of “our enforced period of isolation” but he is likely to draw criticism from corporate media outlets as well the political establishment and mainstream entertainment industry who have all come out in support of the Orwellian lockdown.

The Minister for Health for the North of Ireland, Robin Swann, has already described Morrison’s protest songs as “dangerous” in an interview with Rolling Stone.
