Varadkar claims that ‘he has never guaranteed’ that pubs would reopen at all

Publicans up and down the country have been pulling their hair out as to just when they’re going to be allowed to reopen their premises – if at all, by the looks of things.

Formerly appointed Taoiseach and current Tanaiste Leo Varadkar has said that ‘he has never guaranteed’ that pubs would reopen.

Mr. Varadkar added that there is currently no date set for pubs to reopen.

He added that if and when pubs reopen will be a decision for the Government to make, acting on the advice of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
