Varadkar refuses to say “unborn babies” as he pushes for abortion on demand

The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has made his abortion views known this evening and it seems that Mr Varadkar is more concerned about keeping up appearances with our international friends rather than the Irish public.

Mr Varadkar who refused to use the term unborn babies when repeatedly asked by reporters, has seemingly changed his stance on the issue, said that Ireland can ‘no longer export its problems’.

The Taoiseach’s message which is a far cry from the one he stated whilst he was the Minister for Health, comes as the Government agreed to hold a referendum on the Eighth Amendment in May.

Varadkar who also claimed that abortion is already in Ireland, although illegally, said the country must decide as one whether or not to change Ireland’s abortion laws.

The Taoiseach who made a live announcement outside the Dáil earlier also said that his views have since changed on the issue despite his previous message claiming that abortion had no place on Ireland.

The latest message has yet again underlined Mr Varadkar’s unreliability when it comes to a key issue and it once again magnifies his willingness to change stance on a issue when it becomes an international topic.
