Tanaiste appointee Leo Varadkar has said that further restrictions ‘cannot be ruled out’, following confirmation that the coronavirus is out of control in Ireland.
The country is in Level 5 lockdown at the moment, but some say that this might not be enough to curtail the spread of the disease.
Even though numbers could plateau over the coming days, the numbers of people going into hospital continues to grow and it’s understood that it is now the main concern of NPHET.
