Varadkar to consider extending the current 11pm curfew for bars and restaurants to midnight

Pubs, the ones that they government are allowing that is, may see an extension to their opening hours by one hour to midnight.

The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar is said to be ‘considering’ extending the current 11pm curfew for bars and restaurants to midnight.

The former Taoiseach appointee made the comments during a meeting with representatives of the hospitality industry last night.

Pubs that do not serve food are currently scheduled to reopen on August 31, but that’s still far from certain.
