
The three victims of this morning’s fatal crash in Louth have been named locally as 69-year-old Margaret McGonigle, her daughter Mairead Mundy, and a family friend, Rachel Battles.
All three died when the car they were travelling in was involved in a collision with two other vehicles.
The crash happened just south of Aclint Bridge, on the Louth/Monaghan border just before 1am.
A six year old and a 31-year-old man sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
