Having only buried their daughter 8 months ago, and their month less than 3 years ago, Sean McGrotty’s brother Frank said the family were still in mourning over the deaths of their loved ones.
He now says that the family is absolutely devastated and they almost don’t realise what has happened.
Looking visibly shocked, the Derry man spoke like he didn’t even realise he was being interviewed, the trauma, shock and horror of the tragedy evident for all to see.
However, the eloquently spoken gentleman turns to the camera at the end of interview and says (obviously he knows now, but didn’t at the time) that the person who saved his niece is a hero, that man is Davitt Walsh.
