Viral video shows moment Dutch police blast female lockdown protester with water cannon inflicting serious head injuries

The city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands witnessed the latest violence this week when a woman from the Czech Republic was hit on the head with massive force by a water cannon, reports the Daily Mail. From the shocking video evidence, the police water cannon can be seen specifically targeting the pedestrian and her boyfriend, slamming her head and body against a concrete wall, where she collapsed onto the ground.

The victim, Denisa Stastna suffered serious head injuries including a fractured scull, 15 stitches in her head and an injured lip.

Both Denisa and her boyfriend claim they were just filming the protest and were not taking part in the anti-lockdown protest that was taking place at the time. Dutch authorities claim the couple should have left the area after publicly announcing that everyone must disperse.

According to the Daily Mail, Denisa herself said “We just stood there filming and walked away. They had no right to use the water cannon on us.” The couple is now planning to take action against the police after footage of her injury was broadcast in Dutch media.

Riots continue across the Netherlands in protest to the strict night time curfews and lockdowns imposed by their government.
