Management at Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital have placed further restrictions for people intending on visiting the hospital after they confirmed there has been another outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

The hospital say only one visitor is aloud per patient per visiting period, and are urging parents not to bring children to visit patients under any circumstances.

Management also say the hospitals Emergency Department is severe under pressure due to the outbreak. They are also urging people who experience symptoms such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea to go to their GP first, rather than attending the emergency department.
