Visiting restrictions put in place at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore as staff are currently trying to contain an outbreak of the Winter Vomiting Bug




Management at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore has requested that the public avoid attending the hospital to visit patients as they are currently trying to contain an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Management and staff have issued a statement asking people to avoid the emergency department unless absolutely necessary to do so.

The hospital says visiting is restricted to wards Medical 1 and Medical 3, but people will be permitted to visit all other wards on an emergency basis only.
