Ireland will enter Level 5 restrictions from Wednesday at midnight and it’ll be joined soon after by neighbouring Wales as they try and curtail the spread of covid there too.

Wales is set to impose a ‘firebreak’ lockdown in a desperate attempt to combat coronavirus.

The new lockdown conditions will come into effect at 6pm this Friday, and will remain for 17 days.

Most businesses will shut down for this period, and people will be asked to stay and work from home whenever possible.
