The Walt Disney Company have become the latest high profile name to donate money for the renovation of Notre Dame Cathedral.
In an announcement made today the company said it is to pledge $5m to the renovation fund.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the company said: “The Walt Disney Company stands with our friends and neighbors in the community, offering our heartfelt support as well as a $5 million donation for the restoration of this irreplaceable masterpiece.”
Walt Disney’s donation comes as over €1bn in funding has been raised for the renovation of the iconic landmark which went on fire on Monday.
Although French authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire, it is believed that it was an accident.
Meanwhile the French President Emmanuel Macron has vowed that the cathedral will be renovated within five years.
The iconic cathedral is infamously remembered for being the setting of Disney’s 1996 animated musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
