The Taoiseach Micheal Martin is said to be under immense pressure going into this week after what has been described as a truly disastrous by-election result for Fianna Fail in Dublin Bay South.
There’s no doubt that the average man and woman on the street don’t have much time for Martin considering the draconian lockdown measures he’s imposed on the Irish public over the past 16 months.
That being said, it’s actually his own party members who now are looking to oust him after Fianna Fail dropped close to 10% in last week’s by-election. A disaster by any measures.
Martin says he wants to lead Fianna Fail into the next General Election but that is very doubtful given the latest internal party developments.
