Warm spell on the way as temperatures could reach 21C later this week

Summer may be all but over, but we could be treated to on last blast before autumn sets in as temperatures could reach 21C later this week.

According to forecasters, some places could see highs of 21C this coming Thursday.

However despite the expected incoming warm spell, we will have a mixed bag throughout the week as showers expected throughout.

According to Met Éireann, Tuesday will see some showers in the North and North West, although it will be mainly dry in East and South of the country.

The national forecaster say temperatures will range between 16 and 20C.

Meanwhile Wednesday will be a blustery day with showers expected in the North and North West, although they are expected to clear by the evening.

Highs on Wednesday will range between 14 and 18C.
