It may only be February, but the weather outlook for the weekend is looking promising as temperatures are expected to be higher than average for this time of year.
According to Met Éireann, the outlook for the coming days ahead is bright as highs of between 11 and 16C are expected from now until Monday.
However even though the mercury will be slightly higher this weekend, the national forecaster say some rain showers are expected throughout the weekend especially on Saturday.
It is expected that Monday will bring the best of the weather as temperatures are expected to reach 16C, whilst it will remain relatively dry throughout the day.
Mt Eireann say highs if between 10 and 14C are expected today (Saturday), but some rain showers are expected to sweep eastwards across the country early on in the day.
Sunday will see much of the same as temperatures will range between 10 and 14C, although it is expected to be largely drier than Saturday.
Meanwhile temperatures overnight are expected to drop throughout the weekend with highs between 2 and 5C are expected.
