Water charge protesters stage protests on Cork City’s bridges

The fight against the now almost defunct Irish Water continues its relentless momentum nationwide.

This morning, a group of Righ2Water campaigners staged a protest on the bridges of Cork City, hanging banners, chanting slogans, and distributing leaflets.

The protesters stressed that the protest highlights a “celebration of a community in unity” in the anti-metering campaign.

A large-scale national demonstration is planned for Dublin on August 29.
