Water Charge refunds help build eight new homes for homeless people with disabilities

Eight brand new homes purposely built for homeless people with disabilities have been unveiled this week after it was revealed that the project was partially funded by Water Charge refunds.

The new complex which is located in  Ravenswood, Coldwinters will provide homes to people who are in desperate need.

It is understood that €236,000 was spent on the project by the Peter McVerry Trust, whilst a further €1.6m was provided by the Government via Rebuilding Ireland.

The project which has been greatly received by homeless campaigners comes after a €1m was raised by the public who chose to donate their refund in the aid of homelessness.
