An Orange Order official said those trying to convince Unionists that their future lies in a united Ireland should save their breath.
The Reverend Mervyn Gibson, Grand Secretary of the Order, also warned that there would be no 100 years of Northern Ireland unless the dispute over the Northern Ireland Protocol was resolved.
He was speaking at the start of a parade celebrating Northern Ireland’s centenary.
Up to 25,000 people are expected to attend the event, which was postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions from last year’s royal 100th anniversary.
“We have no interest in becoming part of an All Ireland,” he told the crowd gathered at Stormont following a march.
