Weather for the week ahead looking good as relatively dry conditions and mild temperatures expected throughout

The weather outlook for the coming week is looking positive as mild and dry conditions are expected throughout the week.

According to Met Éireann, the upcoming week will see prolonged sunny spells with temperatures expected to reach the high teens and even the low twenties.

Although some showers are expected later in the week, the national forecaster say the outlook is looking positive and temperatures are expected to be slightly higher than the seasonal average.

Met Éireann say today (Monday) will be relatively dry with sunny spells expected throughout the day, although the south of the country will be overcast to begin with early in in the morning.

Tuesday will see much of the same but Northern areas will see some showers with light winds expected later on the day.

Meanwhile Wednesday will be mainly dry and bright, but light showers are expected to sweep across the country later in the day.

Change is expected on Thursday and Friday with showers expected across the country although many areas will see plenty of sunshine throughout the day.

Temperatures for the week are expected to range between 16 to 21C.
