Weather to remain unsettled over the weekend

windyw

Typical Irish summer weather in store this weekend, according to the forecast, so little chance for BBQs or outdoor activities.

Tomorrow, Friday, will start dry and sunny in the east, but rain coming from the west will become widespread throughout the day. The west and northwest will likely see heavy showers. It will be windy too, with west to southwest winds up to gale force in parts. Temperatures will hover between 14 and 17C.

Saturday will remain windy and showery, with a few sunny intervals. The showers will die out towards nightfall, but there will be scattered outbreaks of rain during the night.

Sunday will be a very wet day, although the rain will begin clearing eastwards towards the evening time. Temperatures will be similar to Saturday’s.
