A weather warning for heavy rain will kick in for two entire provinces later today ahead of further misery.
The warning, which will cover the entirety of Munster and Connacht, will start at 6pm and remain in place until 4am tonight.
According to Met Eireann, many areas around these provinces will experience very heavy rainfall, likely leading to flooding.
