A weather warning is in effect for three counties as heavy rain today might cause localized flooding.
The warning, which covers counties Donegal, Galway, and Mayo, will be in place until 9pm tonight.
According to Met Eireann, these counties will likely see very heavy rainfall throughout the day.
The national forecaster says that the overall picture for the country is one of wet weather, with brief sunny spells across the east and south.
