A weather warning will take effect this afternoon for seven counties as gale force winds are set to lash some areas of the country.
The Status Yello warning, which will kick in at 3pm, will cover counties Donegal, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, and Galway.
According to the national forecaster, wind speeds of up to 110km/h are expected across these counties.
A separate warning for strong winds will be in effect for counties Clare and Kerry between 3pm and 8pm.
