Saoirse Ronan has won the the Best Actress Award at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards.
The 21-year-old Irish actress impressed everyone with her role in the poignant movie Brooklyn, a film depicting the story of a young girl’s difficulties adapting to a new life in 1950s New York, after moving there from Ireland.
The award was presented by another Irish acting powerhouse, Liam Neeson.
