Thousands of people across Ireland have taken part in the annual Darkness into Light walk this morning.
The event which aims to raise awareness and aid the prevention of suicide, saw thousands of people across the country take part in series of 5km walks in the early hours of this morning.
Organised by the suicide prevention charity Pieta House, the annual walk is held across the globe with people from far and wide turning out to raise funds for the cause.
It is expected that record numbers will be in attendance this year as over 150,000 people took part in 2018.
