Thousands of people across the world have completed the annual Darkness in Light 5km walk this morning all in the aid of the Pieta House suicide prevention charity.
The annual walk saw a number of willing volunteers from across the country leave their homes and local parks at 4:15am this morning in order to promote suicide prevention.
Speaking about the annual tradition, a spokesperson said they were honoured to have more and more people to join the campaign in recent years in order to raise awareness about a sensitive and serious issue that is currently gripping the country.
Those who took part participated in social distancing with many people wearing masks.
