The Aras Attracta care home recently hit the headlines after undercover footage showed the appalling treatment received by residents at the hands of some staff members.
Slapping, forced feeding, and undue restraining were used routinely on some of the people living there.
The HSE and other bodies are currently investigating such abuse and some prosecutions may result.
In the meantime, hundreds of well wishers have sent Christmas cards to the residents who suffered the worst abuse, to remind them of the kind nature of most people.
