We’re doing all we can to house migrants, says McEntee

The Minister for Justice, Helen McEntee, emphasized that the Government is making every effort to provide shelter for International Protection (IP) applicants, with a particular focus on women and children, reports RTE.

She refuted claims that the Government had changed its stance, stating that men would not be housed in areas where there had been local demonstrations.

“We have always said that we will prioritise women and families, but it’s becoming more and more challenging to house people in general,” she told RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, adding that “it changes literally on a daily basis,” reports RTE.
