Met Eireann is predicting a rather wet and blustery day today, as the tail end of Storm Sebastien strikes Ireland.
The national forecaster says that people can expect a lot of rain and wind today, adding that southwestern areas will be worst hit.
There are also several flood alerts in place due to heavy rain and high tides coinciding.
The weather will improve somewhat from Wednesday on, with brighter, more settled, but colder conditions.
