Met Eireann has said that the weather will remain wet and windy throughout the weekend, before colder conditions return by the middle of the coming week.
There will be plenty of rain, and even hail and thunder at times, over the next 36 hours, with temperatures reaching 11C at times.
Colder weather will make an unwelcome return by Tuesday, with daytime temperatures remaining in single digits, and freezing nights again.
