Wexford County officials have issued an urgent warning for people to avoid the water at Curracloe beach due to bacterial contamination.
It is understood that recent water testing revealed elevated levels of enterococci bacteria, which can cause very serious disease.
A ‘Do not swim’ warning will remain in place until further notice.
